Job Description
Join a dynamic team in Columbus, IN, where you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and driving innovation in the production of aluminum alloy wheels. This position is with a company that specializes in manufacturing motor vehicle parts and accessories, primarily focusing on the automotive aftermarket and supplying OEMs such as Honda, Nissan, and General Motors.
Responsibilities
+ Design, program, and oversee the installation of machines and/or processes.
+ Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
+ Build, program, or purchase necessary components for manufacturing.
+ Plan project details and communicate with other departments to ensure project success.
+ Support control systems plant-wide for new equipment.
Essential Skills
+ An Associate's Degree in engineering.
+ 3+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with CAD design, including plant layout and custom machine design.
+ Familiarity with Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley PLC systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Cognex and Keyence Vision Systems is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is based in a foundry environment, which can be warm, while the paint process area is clean. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with very minimal overtime. The company values its employees highly and offers a secure and stable working environment, having only experienced one layoff in the past 35 years. There is also an opportunity to gain experience with robotics at a large manufacturer.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
