Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing packaging and material handling equipment, contributing to our growing business, and working in a rapidly expanding environment.
Responsibilities
+ Design packaging and material handling equipment.
+ Work with conveyor systems and machine design.
+ Create shop and fabrication drawings.
+ Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs).
+ Engage in 2D drafting and 3D design using SolidWorks.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
+ Proficiency with SolidWorks (ideal but not mandatory).
+ Experience in detailing large systems.
+ Ability to work with shop and fabrication drawings.
+ Strong academic record with a GPA of 3.5 or higher from a top 10 state school.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with packaging and material handling equipment.
+ Familiarity with mechanical design and engineering principles.
+ Knowledge of sheet metal and machine design.
+ Understanding of conveyer systems.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will initially work out of a temporary facility until our new state-of-the-art building is completed. Our company offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and mobility across different business units. After transitioning from a contract to a permanent position, employees may benefit from overtime opportunities and discretionary profit sharing. The work setting is fast-paced with a consistent workload, and offers an excellent opportunity to gain real-world skills. Please note, there is no vacation during the contract period, although holiday time is provided.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
