    Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector with a robust background in electrical inspection, preferably with experience as an inspector for a building department. The ideal candidate should be familiar with NFPA codes such as NFPA 70, 72, and 780, which include the NEC, Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, and Lightning Protection Code. The ability to review and interpret plans and specifications and apply them during walkthroughs and examinations is essential. Previous experience as a Quality Assurance or Quality Control Inspector is preferred.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.

    + Provide detailed reports of inspections and ongoing construction activities.

    + Utilize ANSI/NETA standards for testing of electrical power systems to ensure safety and reliability.

    + Apply knowledge of electrical systems and construction in the inspection process.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and document inspection findings accurately.

    Essential Skills

    + History in Electrical Inspection, preferably in a building department role.

    + Familiarity with NFPA codes, including NFPA 70, 72, and 780.

    + Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

    + Experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or Quality Control Inspector.

    + Strong communication and documentation skills.

    + Experience with ANSI/NETA standards for testing of electrical power systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction.

    + Experience with fire alarm and security installation.

    + Knowledge of MasterFormat Codes: 26, 27, 28.

    + Background in electrical design, quality inspection, and assurance.

    + Journey/Master Electrician with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

    + QA Inspector with 5 years of experience in electrical systems and an Electrical/Mechanical Degree.

    Work Environment

    The project involves a mix of day and overnight work, alternating each quarter. Our client offers many opportunities for growth within a large design-build firm, along with flexible PTO and stock options.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, Virginia.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
