    Description

    We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Fulton, Maryland. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and is structured as a Contract-to-permanent role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in tools like QuickBooks and Excel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage assigned client accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.

    • Process biweekly payroll efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards.

    • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and adjustments.

    • Utilize QuickBooks for accounting tasks.

    • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and provide solutions to accounting-related challenges.

    • Apply advanced Excel functions, such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, to analyze and manage data.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting-related role.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks.

    • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and month-end close procedures.

    • Familiarity with advanced Excel functionalities, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

    • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
