Job Title: Fiberglass Assembly and Machine Operator
Job Description
Join our team as a Fiberglass Assembly and Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of fiberglass panels, operating machinery, and ensuring products are ready for shipping. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and cross-train in various areas of production.
Responsibilities
+ Glue, assemble, and fabricate fiberglass panels and other products.
+ Operate power machines to trim and drill products.
+ Push cross rods through grating to create assembled panels.
+ Learn coating, painting, and grit application procedures.
+ Palletize finished products and prepare them for shipping.
+ Read and fill orders by matching specified products to specifications.
+ Maintain full glass racks and perform basic pultrusion machine operations.
Essential Skills
+ General production experience.
+ Machine operation skills.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds multiple times during a shift.
+ Six months of verified work history in the same job.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in general labor, packaging, assembly, and picking/packing.
+ Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
+ Comfortable with exposure to fiberglass and resin chemicals.

Work Environment
The work environment requires constant standing, moderate to heavy lifting, and bending. You will be exposed to noise, dust, fiberglass, and resin chemicals, similar to a typical pultrusion area. The team operates in shifts with approximately 5 people per cell and safety gear such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection is mandatory. Recommended attire includes jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Assembly hours are divided into three shifts, with detailed start and end times, with pultrusion and shipping hours also clearly defined. Overtime opportunities exist and are subject to supervisor approval.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHATFIELD, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
