    Job Title: Millwright Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team. This role involves working with various welding techniques and ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment within an industrial setting. The successful candidate will have experience in heavy industrial maintenance and a strong understanding of welding and mechanical systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shield metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.

    + Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding process to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.

    + Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.

    + Report all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance or repair to the proper supervisor.

    + Maintain all shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment and replace as needed.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a waste/recycling plant on the 2nd shift, with training provided on the 1st shift until you are comfortable with the equipment. Expect a training period of approximately 3-6 months. The environment is industrial, and safety and precision are paramount.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
