    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    A leading manufacturer in the Eastern Indianapolis region seeks multiple skilled machine operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, where you'll play a crucial role in the manufacturing process.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate various industrial machines, handling up to four machines simultaneously.

    + Utilize basic hand and power tools to change tooling effectively.

    + Use quality instruments to ensure parts meet specified quality standards.

    + Perform repetitive manual lifting and push materials throughout the department.

    + Ensure proper documentation of materials and batch numbers according to guidelines.

    + Endure a hot environment and remain on feet for 8 to 12 hours at a time.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating machinery and using hand/power tools.

    + Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operating.

    + Ability to read and understand blueprints and perform mechanical assembly.

    + Experience with calipers, press operating, laser operation, and troubleshooting.

    + At least 1 year of machine operating experience and consistent work history.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to withstand hot working conditions.

    + Mechanical inclination and familiarity with CNC operations.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large, 1 million sq ft facility that maintains a clean yet hot environment depending on the department. The role requires standing for extended periods during shifts. Training occurs on 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for approximately 15 weeks. Post-training, shifts are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM for 2nd shift and 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM for 3rd shift, with overtime potentially required. Employees receive a shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
