    Description

    Candidate will be a mig welder at TSS; a custom car wash manufacture for the canopy and signs. They will be required to do all of the welding for the canopies. 90% of the welding is done on aluminum, while only 10% is on steel.

     

    4+ years Mig Welder

    2+ years welding on Aluminum

    Must be able to weld Up to 1/2 inch thick

    Experience in a Prototype / Custom shop

    Experience with Post / Tube Welding (2+ years)

    Ability to read work orders or Blueprint reading

    Screening questions for Aluminum:

    - How many years welding on Aluminum do you have?

    - How much of your day was welding on Aluminum?

    - Rate yourself 1-10 on going to a weld test, setting up the machine to weld on Aluminum?

    - What is the speed for welding on aluminum?

    - What happens if you don’t have the right speed?

    1st Shift Times: 6:30am - 3pm

    2nd shift times: 3pm to 1am

    Monday - Friday

    Saturday occasional

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Must Haves:

    4+ years Mig Welder

    2+ years welding on Aluminum

    Must be able to weld Up to 1/2 inch thick

    Experience in a Prototype / Custom shop

    Ability to read work orders or Blueprint reading

    Experience using Hand Tools such as impact wrecks, drills, etc.

    Strong work ethic

    Must be able to read a tape measure

    Nice to Have:

    Certified Welding certification

    HS diploma/GE

    Disqualifications:

    - Job hopping

    - want a long term fit or someone who wants to go above and beyond

    - someone who can not handle standing on concrete all day long doing assembly work

    - Someone that will take leadership of the department, step into a team lead at some point

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
