    Job Title: Production Supervisor

    Job Description

    As a Production Supervisor, you will direct and coordinate the activities of the production department in processing materials and manufacturing products. You will manage production operations, coordinate production schedules, and assign resources appropriately to achieve production goals. Your role involves managing inventory levels, coordinating with the logistics team for shipments, maintaining the status of production orders, and performing periodic quality checks. You will lead a team to create an efficient working environment while prioritizing safety in all operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate production schedule with Foremen to manage operations such as Winding.

    + Manage inventory levels for all raw materials and finished goods.

    + Coordinate with logistics for shipments and maintain the status of production orders.

    + Perform periodic product quality checks.

    + Lead and foster an efficient team working environment with a focus on safety.

    + Track on-time performance.

    + Verify and approve employee timesheets.

    + Lead production meetings and coordinate employee vacation schedules.

    + Conduct annual employee performance evaluations.

    + Handle other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy/industrial manufacturing environment.

    + Experience working with cross-functional teams.

    + Strong leadership qualities.

    + Field experience in manufacturing operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in production management, plant management, and production supervision.

    + Knowledge of lean manufacturing and manufacturing engineering.

    + Familiarity with industrial engineering and ERP systems.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is primarily based in an office environment with some exposure to manufacturing/fabricating settings. Office hours typically start between 7 and 8 AM and involve working roughly 9 hours a day. Weekend work may be required at times.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
