    Position Summary/Description:

    The Center for Women’s Mood Disorders is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist at the Assistant Professor rank (fixed term) whose research focuses on the neuroendocrinology of perinatal depression and its impact on infants and children. This full-time position offers the opportunity to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team committed to advancing the science and clinical care of perinatal mental health.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a strong record of research productivity and a demonstrated commitment to understanding the biological and developmental consequences of perinatal mood disorders. We particularly welcome candidates with expertise in hormone-behavior relationships, neurodevelopmental outcomes, and mother-infant interactions.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    + Leading an independent research program focused on the neuroendocrinology of perinatal depression and its effects on offspring development.

    + Collaborating with faculty in psychiatry, pediatrics, obstetrics, neuroscience, and public health on interdisciplinary research.

    + Writing and submitting grant proposals ( NIH and other extramural funding).

    + Publishing scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.

    + Providing evidence-based psychological care to perinatal patients.

    + Teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and clinical psychology interns.

    + Providing clinical evaluation and evidence-based psychotherapy to perinatal patients.

    + Contributing to the academic life of the department through mentorship, service, and participation in scholarly activities.
