    Responsibilities

    The Parts Clerk’s primary role is creating and maintaining a strong relationship between the company and the customer.

     

    • Able to handle customer phone inquiries for parts in a diplomatic, friendly, and business-like manner.

    • Ability to pick, pack, and ship parts accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Deliver parts as required (customer locations and Vessel deliveries).

    • Handles all types of customer parts phone inquiries in a diplomatic, friendly and businesslike manner

    • Ability to pick, pack, and ship parts in a timely and accurate manner (must be able to lift 50 lbs.)

    • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly inspections

    • Controls, documents and implements safety programs

    • Accurately invoice customers

    • Manages the purchase order process and complies with all corporate policies and procedures

    • Maintains customer order records for on-time processing, shipping, and billing

    • Monitors and acknowledges customer transactions with appropriate documentation

    • Enters appropriate inventory information into the computer in a timely and accurate manner

    • Delivers parts as necessary (including to vessels)

    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education

    • Should be computer literate familiar with Microsoft software

    • Energetic and customer driven

    • Good organizational skills

    • 6 months previous parts experience preferred

    • Effective verbal and written communications

    • Courteous customer communication skills

    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    • Previous experience driving company vehicle and forklift a plus

    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

    • Hours M-F 8AM-1PM with some weekend work as required.

    • Must have a clean license with no tickets or accidents in the last 3 years.

    • Must be able to pass a Homeland security background check (TWIC card is required to enter the port areas).
