    Communications Technician II

     

    Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Hire

    Division: Communications

    Pay Range: $21.00 – $30.00/hr (DOE)

    About the Opportunity

    We’re hiring a Communications Technician II to support new data center construction projects. This is a contract-to-hire role, meaning after 3 months of successful performance, you will convert to a full-time permanent position with access to outstanding benefits and long-term career growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Pull and install 4" Microduct in a new construction data center environment

    + Perform cable testing and troubleshooting (continuity, tone set, volt-ohmmeter)

    + Identify active voice/data circuits and ensure proper labeling per IES COMMERCIAL standards

    + Lead small teams of installers, ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion

    + Complete all required documentation (timesheets, work orders, material transfers, etc.)

    + Adhere to all company and customer safety and quality standards

    Qualifications

    + 1+ year of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field

    + High school diploma or GED required

    + Familiarity with OSP work, color codes, and blueprint interpretation

    + Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate in confined spaces

    + Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

    + Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the regional territory

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
