Business Information Analyst Senior
**Locations:** This role requires associates to be in-office **1-2** days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The **Business Information Analyst Senior** is responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics. Typically provides technical assistance to lower level staff. We are partnering with **North Carolina DHHS** to operationalize a statewide Medicaid Plan designed to support Medicaid-enrolled infants, children, youth, young adults, and families served by the child welfare system so that they receive seamless, integrated, and coordinated health care.
How you will make an Impact:
+ Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
+ Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
+ Analyze healthcare data to evaluate the effectiveness of care management programs, including quality outcomes, member engagement, utilization, and cost impact .
+ Use internal and external tools for reporting tools to track program performance against contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and internal KPIs.
+ Provide insights on opportunities to improve program design and delivery, including care coordination and disease management initiatives.
+ Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
+ May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
+ May make recommendations based upon data analysis.
+ Partner with care management, quality, provider network, and clinical operations teams to recommend strategies that optimize member outcomes and resource allocation.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years data analysis or related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:
+ Strong background in managed care, Medicaid, or Medicare programs.
+ Experience evaluating care management, disease management, or population health programs.
+ Proficiency with SQL and statistical software (SAS, R, or Python) to manipulate large healthcare datasets.
+ Familiarity with quality and outcomes measures such as HEDIS, STAR ratings, NCQA, CMS quality metrics, or state-specific reporting requirements.
+ Ability to manipulate large sets of data is strongly preferred.
+ Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills are strongly preferred.
+ Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) strongly preferred.
