    The Frederick, MD location is a critical part of Thermo Fisher’s organization, providing support for up to 5 Business Groups and multiple Divisions, from distribution, to Life Sciences and Corporate support. We are a leading provider of innovative products and services.

     

    How Will You Make an Impact?:

     

    The Manufacturing Operator plays an integral part of operations as a member of one of our manufacturing department teams to ensure life-saving products are created, handled and delivered safely, on time and with the highest quality standards.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    + Work within a manufacturing environment both individually and within a team to ensure customers receive a product that exceeds quality specifications.

    + Communicate with several work groups to ensure the completion of daily production.

    + Work in both standard and clean room environments while adhering to area-specific PPE requirements.

    + Safely operate manual and automated filling equipment.

    + Safely operate pallet jacks.

    + Handle and process materials that are in temperature sensitive conditions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

    + May be required to safely operate a 26’ foot box truck and transit vehicle.

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience:

    + Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field

    + Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    + Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

    + Knowledge of the metric system, and ability to perform conversions.

    + Ability to follow standard operating procedures and cGMP’s. problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions from identifying errors

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment

    + Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.

    + Able to work in normal to extreme conditions: Ambient, Cold Room (2-8°F), Freezer (-20°F), and Ultra Cold (-80°F).

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $16.78–$25.17.
