UPMC's Bellefield Outpatient Clinic is looking for a Behavioral Health Therapist Supervisor to join the team! Bellefield OP is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services both in-person and virtually to adults facing a variety of challenges. We support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. The purpose of this job is to provide direct clinical and administrative supervision to behavioral health therapists. As appropriate, provide clinical outpatient treatment designed to service patients with a mental health diagnosis who meet dimensions for outpatient and/or partial hospitalization treatment criteria. Acts as a senior member of the therapy team.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct and document assessments, create treatment plans, and adjust care per outpatient/partial hospitalization guidelines.
+ Provide individual and group therapy; participate in treatment team meetings.
+ Complete same-day clinical documentation; share clinical info with access reps and insurers for service authorization.
+ Review cases/groups and escalate serious clinical changes to Director as needed.
+ Assess need for additional services; refer patients to appropriate levels of care or community resources.
+ Maintain daily clinical productivity records.
+ Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
+ Supervise behavioral health therapists; assign work, conduct annual reviews, enforce policies.
+ Support operations: recruit staff, manage admissions flow, lead treatment team meetings, oversee clinical activities.
+ Monitor clinician caseloads, group census, treatment plan quality, and reporting processes.
+ Meet regularly with Director to discuss cases, clinical issues, and staff concerns.
+ Serve as acting leader in Director's absence to ensure patient care and safety.
+ Collaborate on annual training needs assessments.
+ Lead staff in-service training and contribute to system-wide education initiatives.
+ Provide clinical and administrative supervision to therapy teams; integrate evidence-based practices.
+ Perform duties in alignment with system-wide competencies.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Doctorate in Psychology required.
Five years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.
Two years of demonstrated progressive leadership experience required. Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Doctorate in Psychology required.
Clinical Social Worker (CSW) OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
