             Your Impact: Amentum is currently seeking a **MIL SATCOM Mission Planner** with knowledge of Military Satellite Communications, especially familiarity with EHF and AEHF SATCOM and associated Satellite Communications terminals (MILSTAR, SMART-T, VPS) to join our dynamic team in the **Northern VA area** . This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance that has been adjudicated in the last 5 years or designated CE and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses. Responsibilities: • Model and analyze AEHF environmental factors using the Mission Planning Subsystem • Create unit-level scenarios using the AEHF Global Scenario. • Produce and distribute communications plans to operational users. • Operate, test, and provide feedback on emerging and replacement radio and communication systems. • Apply in-depth technical knowledge to capture, plan and design information technology systems; tactical and strategic RF communications, especially DoD SATCOM and Line-of-Sight (LOS) systems, at the national level. • Advise the customer on the development of technical approaches to solving engineering related problems. • Support the formulation and execution of acquisition strategies. • Develop technology Integration strategies, Requirements Development, Systems Architectures, Conceptual Designs and Concept of Operations. • Apply excellent working knowledge and consultations in data communications, fiber optics, video teleconferencing and cryptographic equipment. • Participate in activities to ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within and across the work program as appropriate. Requirements: • Experience with SATCOM Communications Planning Tools, specifically the Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS) / Mission Planning Element (MPE) • Experience with Military Satellite Communications, especially familiarity with AEHF SATCOM and associated Satellite Communications terminals (such as FAB-T, FET, SMART-T, G-ASNT, VPS, SCAMP) • Experience leading the evaluation and testing of complex systems • Experience with capabilities, trade analysis, mission analysis, information assurance, systems integration, and understanding of the relationships between operational, technical, and systems architecture • Familiarity with evaluation of RF communications systems and architecture • Possess a current/active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance • Familiarity with Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) and the nuclear environment. • Proficient at communicating complex technical material in presentations and in writing • Experience with system integration and testing (HW/SW) of COTS components Clearance Required: • TS/SCI Minimum Years of Experience: • 10 Years Preferred: • Experience in a Brigade or Higher-level S-6 or G-6 environment • B.S. degree in System Integration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or equivalent degree with 15 years or more of Information Technology experience preferably with a strong Radio Frequency (RF) and data communications background. \#javelin #SATCOM
