Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Part-Time | $41/hr | Multiple Campuses | In-Person

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a part-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across multiple campuses for the 2025–2026 school year. This role begins ASAP and runs through May 29, 2026. The TVI will collaborate with an existing district-employed TVI and provide Braille instruction and vision support services to students in various classroom settings.

Position Overview

+ Location: Multiple campuses (within district)

+ Start Date: ASAP

+ End Date: May 29, 2026

+ Schedule: 16–19 hours/week

+ Pay Rate: $41/hour

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Interview Format: Virtual or in-person

+ Caseload: TBD

+ Support: Collaboration with district TVI; no direct classroom support staff

Responsibilities

+ Provide Braille instruction and vision-related educational support

+ Travel between campuses to serve students in general, inclusion, or self-contained settings

+ Collaborate with district TVI and school teams to meet student needs

+ Maintain documentation and compliance with IEP goals and district standards

Minimum Requirements

+ Valid state teaching certification for Visual Impairment

+ Experience working with visually impaired students (preferred)

+ Familiarity with Braille instruction and adaptive technologies

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Fingerprinting required through district onboarding
