    OPS Print Services Assistant

     

    Rate of Pay

     

    $15.00/hour

    General Summary

    The Office of the Clerk is accepting applications for an OPS Print Services Assistant. This is full-time temporary employment during the legislative session(October 1, 2025 through March 13, 2026).

     

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities

     

    This is work, under the direct supervision of the manager of the House print shop and duplicating office which supports the day-to-day operations of the House. An employee in a position allocated to this class is responsible for support of the team in duplicating, printing and documents and distribution.

     

    Major Duties include the following

     

    + Prepare projects for duplicating and printing.

    + Operates duplicating equipment. (Prisma Software,.PDF)

    + Operates a book binder, commercial folder, and paper cutter.

    + Works with the public in a main reception area to include greeting, taking orders, and filling requests.

    + Must be willing and able to work some late nights, weekends, and early mornings based on the demands of the office.

    + Must be able to regularly lift and stack up to 50-pound boxes.

    + Uses basic computer skills to locate files, website material, and uploading documents.

    + Performs other related duties as required.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    + Ability to follow office procedures and practices.

    + Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

    + Ability to work cooperatively as a team member.

    + Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

    + Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.

    + Ability to review work for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.

    + Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

    + Ability to make decisions in a timely manner.

    + Ability to work independently.

    + Ability to supervise/manage people.

    + Ability to develop various reports.

    + Ability to recognize dangerous or potentially dangerous situations.

    Minimum Qualifications

    A high school diploma or its equivalent and two years of work experience including but not limited to clerical, service maintenance, carpentry, or security operations. Appropriate work attire is required.
