    Description

    BASIC PURPOSE:

    • Coordinate material distribution for all shifts within the Molding Department

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Utilize the production schedule to plan and stage material for all shifts within the Molding Department

    • Interact with Warehouse to coordinate material movements and maintain inventory accuracy

    • Maintain lot control of raw materials on the production floor

    • Strong understanding and ability to troubleshoot material handling equipment such as dryers, loaders, and concentrate feeders

    • Perform material audits on production floor

    • Proficient on forklift and promote safety

    • Interact with material handlers, set-up technicians, process technicians and scheduling to meet production demands

    • Must be able to work outside normal working hours, overtime or alternate shifts to accommodate production needs when required.

    NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Clean Hoppers

    • Empty runner bins

    • Material returns

    • Walk through - Top offs

    • Pre-dry Materials

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education

    • HS diploma or GED required

    Experience

    • 5-10 years in plastic injection molding

    Skills

    • Ability to communicate with internal customers. Good organizational skills.

    • Ability to move materials / lifting / bending / reach overhead

    • Ability to use equipment such as forklift, motorized pallet jack, hand tools
