Job Description
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Site’s Cold War legacy. Responsiblities
Transportation Management is seeking a well-qualified individual who will perform traffic logistics functions and administer the integration of technologies and business tools to improve workflows and achieve consistent, repeatable performance at all work locations. Current technology-based business tools include: MESACore, HAZTRAK, STAR, Geotab, Access dbases, SAFER, ATLAS, FedEx Ship Manager / Café, Oracle Fusion, and iCon.
Responsibilities
+ Works with division(s) to develop a strategy or roadmap to address existing business information systems problems or create innovative solutions to improve information systems within the organization.
+ Uses applied knowledge and principals (e.g., Business Process Architecture, Systems Approach or Six Sigma Methodology) to create solutions to resolve problems.
+ In collaboration with the Information Technology and/or Project Management organizations manages medium size projects to define requirements.
+ Coaches and motivates team members (including sub-contractors) to coordinate project tasks.
+ Defines, plans, executes, monitors, controls, and successfully completes discrete elements of scope in compliance with defined schedule, costs, risk, and quality.
+ Establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and makes recommendations for improvement.
+ Acts as a liaison to the Information Technology Division.
+ Performs a wide variety of traffic logistics and transportation management activities.
+ Provides guidance for the movement of inbound and outbound freight and coordinates the movement of employee household goods.
+ Interprets and applies rules and regulations related to all modes of transportation.
+ Provides technical oversight for the compliant shipment / transfer of hazardous materials.
+ Verifies commercial carrier freight invoices for payment.
+ Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 8 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience.
+ Ability to lead complex projects that may involve IT and other orgs; must possess technical and analytical skills to ensure successful outcomes of these projects.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Competent with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Teams).
+ Strong keyboarding skills.
+ Working knowledge of commercial carrier shipping tools (FedEx “Ship Manager” / “Café”).
+ Working knowledge of Transportation Management business tools (preferred).
+ Primary Work Location: North Las Vegas, NV.
+ Work Schedule: 4 10’s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
+ Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ _Identity, Credential, and Access Management_ ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ _Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors_ .’

Annual salary range for this position is: **$99,790.57 - $152,180.63.**
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
