This position is located in Crookston or East Grand Forks, MN.
The Employment Services Representative position exists to provide employability planning, support services, case management, and workshops to residents of Workforce Service Area One (1) (WSA 1) / Polk County involved in Welfare-to-Work programs. This includes individuals receiving county assistance who are referred or enrolled in the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) and Family Stabilization Services (FSS), diversionary work, and food support. The incumbent also provides advocacy and referral services for universal customers who need assistance from other agencies.
The position provides training on how to seek employment through creative job search classes, resume writing classes, and other employment-related workshops. The incumbent provides technical and informational resources so that customers have access to information on careers, labor market trends, job openings, skill requirements, assessment tools, and educational and training opportunities.

This position is telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) eligible. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment. Please note, the telework policy could change with notice based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.** **Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.
One (1) year * of experience in a role administering formally structured programs with case management as a core component of the program administration, or a similar role as determined by the agency.
*Bachelor's degree in a Human Services or Social Science field such as Psychology, Sociology, Education, or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following:
+ Experience in developing and presenting workshops for adult career seekers, offered both virtually and in-person.
+ Experience in organizing and tracking program participants, including case noting and referring them to services, programs, or opportunities aligned with their needs and career goals.
+ Experience in communicating effectively to connect career seekers with workforce training opportunities that help advance their skills.
+ Ability to build and maintain connections with community partners, such as educational institutions, employers, and supportive services, to assist career seekers in gaining employment.
+ Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and goals.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a Human Services or Social Science field such as Psychology, Sociology, Education, or other closely related field as determined by the agency.
+ Experience usingWorkForceOne,CareerForceMN.com,Minnesotaworks.net,SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and WebEx.
+ Experience Providing career guidance and coaching.
+ Skill communicating in a secondary language.
