How you Will make a difference

+ Assess and recommend corrective actions and/or procedures in regards to aspects and functions pertaining to the business office operations in a designated region.

+ This includes training and providing the business office staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete all tasks assigned.

+ Evaluate efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of all office staff in collaboration with the Administrator, FAB, and requirements set forth by Medicaid and Medicare.

+ Evaluate accuracy of billing under Medicaid and Medicare guidelines set forth by state and federal government.

+ Identify areas of concern and produce plan of correction.

+ Provide educational training and hands on support as required.

+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the accounts receivable process and makes recommendations for improvement when applicable.

+ Monitor cost reporting data, ensure data is accurate and completed in a timely fashion.

+ Evaluate and address issues of poor performance with the Administrator, Business Office Manager, and other business office personnel.

What you Need to make a Difference

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience.

+ Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounts receivable; long term care preferred.

+ Knowledge and experience with long term care accounts receivable practices.

+ Working knowledge of long-term care regulations, as well as knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid (including other third-party insurance companies) billing practices.

+ Good mathematical abilities, including calculating rates and percentages.

+ Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

+ Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.

+ Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
