Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you’ll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients’ lives every day. You’ll provide hands-on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

+ Perform all duties associated with Patient Care Tech job description

+ Assist in the hiring process by participating in the peer interview process.

+ Develops orientation manual and assists with orientation of new personnel.

+ Serves as a positive role model and resource for peers.

+ Meets with new hire PCT's at hospital-wide orientation. Precepts all new PCTs to ensure unit expectations and standards are known and followed.

+ Ensures new processes, equipment, policies/procedures, etc. are communicated to PCTs promptly.

+ Leads by example as reflected in positive feedback from patients and staff.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ CNA, LNA, or EMT/Military Medic training preferred

+ 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic preferred

+ 1+ years of experience at an HCA facility preferred
