Largo Hospital is expanding emergency medical services for Clearwater, Dunedin and surrounding areas with the opening of our new free-standing ER on Main Street in Clearwater. This state-of-the-art facility will feature 10,860 square feet with 11 treatment rooms, including a dedicated area for EMS and trauma patients._

Job Summary and Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist

Night shift availability is necessary for consideration.

_Please note that Ultrasound Technologists will rotate to all our locations including: Largo Hospital (main campus) and Largo West Hospital (Indian Rocks) as well as our free-standing ER locations: Clearwater Emergency and the future Countryside Emergency._

Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to:

+ Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner

+ Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner

+ Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images

+ Maintain statistical results for quality improvement

+ Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results

Qualifications

+ A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program

+ Valid ARDMS certifications: RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) and ARDMS AB or OB/GYN

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

+ 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

+ Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions
