    Overview

     

    The Mortgage Assumption Specialist is responsible for managing and processing requests related to the assumption of mortgage loans. This role involves reviewing assumption applications, verifying eligibility, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines.

     

    The Summer Associate will work closely with operational areas and product strategy on a potential project for onboarding the closing function. They will learn to understand current and future processes and support needs for a streamlined, effective operational structure. Areas of focus may include onboarding the closing function, optimizing workforce forecasts, and integrating support capabilities (e.g., reporting, quality assurance, audits, risk) It will be essential for the team member in this position to be strong analytically, with an ability to bridge strategy and operations, and be able to connect the details in the data to the bigger picture.

     

    The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2025 and ending in August 2025. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

    Responsibilities

    + Review and analyze assumption requests for completeness and eligibility.

    + Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and investor requirements.

    + Prepare and process related documentation.

    + Maintain accurate records and update loan servicing systems.

    Qualifications

    All of the below responsibilities will be utilized while working on the potential project for 12 weeks:

    + Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing and loan documentation.

    + Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., RESPA, FCRA, investor requirements).

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

    + Experience in mortgage servicing or related financial services preferred

     

    Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
