The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00

A role in Supply Chain Construction means the opportunity to apply your innovative and sustainable architectural design and technical expertise. Your work will directly support a world class distribution network, resulting in the delivery of the brand promise to our guest. Supply Chain is a dynamic and ever-changing world which requires us to evolve in a “speed is life” fashion to support Target’s business strategies.
As a **Sr. Designer** , you will work closely with Global Supply Chain Logistic (GSCL) on aspects of fulfillment and replenishment of goods for our guests maximizing on efficiency, brand and safety. You will manage the design & documentation of new distribution centers and remodels. This includes holding the cross-functional team to the design schedule and implementing quality assurance. You will also lead the project programing effort and all the design phases (FS, SD, DD, CD and CA). Additional responsibilities include but not limited to: development of new strategies; project resource planning and scheduling; managing cross functional teams on strategies and designs; presentation and collaboration with partners; and developing & maintaining partner relationships.
Principal duties an responsibilities include:
+ Manages the design implementation of new strategies & innovations for all programs: new distribution centers, remodels, special projects, safety, and site design
+ Help develop strategic partnerships with GSCL and vendors to improve accuracy, drive efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring on time deliveries
+ Plays an active role in the design, engineering, construction and sourcing of building design and material handling equipment (including racking)
+ Innovate solutions that meet client needs
+ Ensure deliverables are met and to provide stakeholder updates for internal and external partners
+ Collaborate and partner with Construction, GSCL, Corporate Real-estate, Asset Protection, Procurement, and Transportation
+ Maintain design database and documentation, and execute quality assurance
+ Manage project teams, contractors and vendors
+ Create and/or manage solutions that consider efficient construction methods, meet budget requirements, and remain true to the original design intent
+ Support the rapid iteration of design concepts that integrate leadership and/or peer feedback
+ Manage the design & document production processes with external consultants; ensuring projects remain on-schedule and within established budget
+ Work closely with Directors and Team to capture requirements and programming.
+ Develop specifications, Revit standards and families
+ Job duties may change at any time due to business needs
About you:
+ 4 Year accredited degree (interior design or architecture)
+ 5+ Years relevant experience (warehouse or industrial design preferred)
+ Experience working with the authority having jurisdiction
+ Proficient with Building Codes
+ Experience with relevant computer design applications (AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Modeling/Rendering, PhotoShop, SmartSheet, Excel, etc.)
+ Ability to think strategically and challenge the status quo
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver results quickly
+ Experience executing programs with significant cross-functional representation
+ Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and project management skills
+ Proven analytical skills in relation to programming, space allocation, planning and design.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
