    Summary

    ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for Operations Manager at Osceola Heritage Park. The Operations Manager oversees the core infrastructure and grounds-related functions across Osceola Heritage Park. This includes direct supervision of the Engineering Supervisor, Landscaping Team, Mechanics, and Custodial Team. This role ensures operational readiness, appearance, safety, and maintenance of all facilities and grounds. The Operations Manager also serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) for the Operations Department during events and works closely with other departments to support event execution.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Supervise the Engineering Supervisor and ensure the Engineering Team maintains all building systems, infrastructure, and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.).

    + Oversee the daily work of the Mechanic, ensuring vehicle and equipment upkeep meets operational needs.

    + Direct the Landscaping Team (internal or contracted), maintaining facility grounds, turf, irrigation, and outdoor aesthetics.

    + Assist the Conversion Manager in overseeing Arena and venue changeovers, including set-ups, breakdowns, and event flips.

    + Support scheduling, task delegation, and on-site supervision of the Conversions Team when needed.

    + Ensure all event layouts and transitions are executed accurately, safely, and on time.

    + Collaborate with the Conversion Manager and Event Managers to align conversion timelines with event requirements.

    + Monitor equipment and inventory used in conversions, and support reporting of supply needs or damages.

    + Fill in as a team lead or supervisor during large-scale conversions.

    + Serve as MOD during events, acting as the lead representative of the Operations Department.

    + Monitor and respond to facilities-related needs during events, such as cleanliness, equipment issues, or environmental concerns.

    + Communicate and coordinate with Event Managers and department leads to resolve operational issues in real time.

    + Lead and mentor supervisors and staff across Engineering, Mechanics, and Landscaping.

    + Approve scheduling and ensure adequate shift coverage to meet daily and event-based needs.

    + Assist with hiring, training, evaluating, and developing staff in alignment with venue goals and safety standards.

    + Support implementation of OSHA-compliant safety protocols and internal risk-reduction procedures.

    + Participate in Safety Committee meetings and ensure departments are trained and compliant with safety expectations.

    + Support preventive maintenance programs and coordinate work order prioritization with supervisors.

    + Oversee relationships with landscaping contractors (if/when applicable), custodial supply vendors, and mechanic-related service providers.

    + Support facility maintenance projects, capital repairs, and infrastructure improvement planning in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Operations.

    + Work alongside the Conversion Manager to ensure operational support is aligned with event needs, while maintaining clear boundaries of responsibility.

    + Attend internal planning meetings as needed and communicate departmental readiness and concerns.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + Bachelor’s or associate degree in business, sports management, hospitality management, or a relevant field is preferred

    + 3-5 years leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in hospitality or a related industry with concentrated operations and maintenance responsibilities

    + Maintain a valid driver’s license.

    Skills and Abilities

    + Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills.

    + Ability to supervise multiple departments with diverse functions and skill sets.

    + Working knowledge of building systems, mechanical operations, and landscape care standards.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic work order or scheduling systems.

    + Ability to work independently, think critically, and resolve issues under pressure.

    + Ability to be certified using forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms.

    Physical Demands

    + Lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling items of at least 50 pounds

    + Climbing stairs or ladders, working from various heights

    + Ability to walk, climb stairs, and stand for several hours with infrequent breaks.

    + Bending, stooping, or kneeling occasionally

    + Vision, hearing, and speech frequently used for communications and speaking, judging distances, reading signs, listening to others in a public forum, noisy atmosphere, and two-way radio.

    + Working inside and outside the building with exposure to adverse conditions

    + Some exposure to chemicals used for cleaning.

    Hours of Work and Travel Requirements

    + 40-45 hours of work per week on average

    + Irregular hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as determined by maintenance and event schedules.

    + Extended hours may be required as determined by maintenance and event schedules.

    + Out-of-town or overnight travel is not regularly expected.
