Job Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team in providing quality care to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Reports directly to the Director of Nursing and covering when the Director of Nursing is not in the facility

+ Creates a safe, healthy work environment that supports delivery of high-quality resident care

+ Creates a culture where highly engaged team members are able to contribute to the best in resident care and to grow professionally

+ Assures the best resident care by supervising and directing Nursing Personnel

+ Serves as a liaison for all nursing staff and nurse management

+ Makes decisions regarding nursing and unit problems

+ Participates in facility surveys

+ Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and resident’s families

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse/RN licensure

+ Minimum 1 year full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred

+ Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred

+ Experience with Infection Control and Prevention preferred

+ Excellence in clinical nursing skills required

+ Experience in Gerontology preferred
