    Information about the Project

-Project Location: MET beamline at NSLS-II, Brookhaven National Lab.

-Description of the instrument being used: Mueller matrix magneto-ellipsometer and transmission/reflection polarimeter for quantum materials.

-We are using a PI-designed and developed setup for Mueller matrix spectroscopic ellipsometry and transmission/reflection (T/R) polarimetry in high magnetic fields (up to ±7 T) with sample cryogenic temperatures down to 4 K at the most advanced synchrotron source, NSLS-II, Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).

-There is a capability to convert synchrotron radiation to the circularly polarized beams or vortex beams with the Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) for studies of the circular and/or vortex dichroism in magnetic materials.

-We already have fully automatic data collection and LabView-based control of the instrument and advanced Matlab-based software for data modelling and analysis. -We carry out our own experiments and we also collaborate with the external Users of this experimental setup.

    Prerequisite Qualifications:

-Magnetic fields, cryo-temperatures, high vacuum, FT-IR or THz spectroscopy, polarimetry or ellipsometry.
