Job Description

The commercial business analyst works closely with IT Business Partners to define and document key processes, requirements, knowledge articles, and user documentation. The Senior IT Business Analyst will work both on projects, as a critical team member, and with operational teams to identify communication and training to help ease the introduction of new technologies and to further improve operational processes.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or similar field and 4+ years of relevant IT Business Analyst experience OR master’s degree in computer science, IT, or similar field and 2+ years of similar experience

• 4+ years of experience in a Commercial Business Analyst role, preferably supporting Commercial Pharmaceutical operations and technologies

o Strong understanding of Commercial Business Systems and CRMs (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce), and how data is utilized in the pharmaceutical sector.

o Strong knowledge of commercial processes such as sales operations, marketing, and market access with a strong understanding key business drivers

• Proven experience acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.

o Ability to define and document business processes and requirements, including data flow, storage, application usability, reporting, and analytics

• Strong understanding of requirements gathering for Data Integrations/Migrations

o Knowledge of the fundamentals necessary (data sources, data frequences, file format, etc.)

o Working knowledge of Data Warehouse fundamentals

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills with superb attention to detail

• Good interpersonal and communications skills, including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility • Knowledge of requirements gathering and reporting functions to leverage Power BI

• Familiarity with industry-specific software and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector

• General ability to write and execute queries for data analysis and validation.

• Technical aptitude for system navigation and UAT testing
