Job Description Summary
Provides safe and competent comprehensive health care services to include diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of minor injury to chronic illnesses, providing education, case management, teaching/counseling, health promotion and disease prevention and referral, when appropriate to other health care professionals. The PA works in collaboration with a sponsor physician or physicians and is legally authorized under their licensing state to provide health care in a variety of settings, either autonomously or in conjunction with a physician.
Job Description
Southeast Health is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our growing Neurosciences team. This position will support both Neurosurgery and Neuroendovascular services and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment providing comprehensive care across both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
JOB DETAILS:
+ Hospital-employed position with Southeast Health Medical Group
+ Practice at one location - no travel is required
+ Schedule is Monday - Friday, full-time
+ 1:3 weekend call and no night call
+ Position will be primarily hospital-based with occasional clinic responsibilities
+ Opportunity to assist in the OR for the Neurosurgery service with experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Academic preparation and Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program required
+ Active PA board-certification by the NCCPA
+ Active Alabama PA license or ability to obtain a PA license in the state of Alabama
+ PA experience in Neurosurgery, Neurology, or related specialty preferred
+ Strong clinical, procedural, and teamwork skills
+ BCLS and ACLS certifications
