    Plant 81 | Creeler | Shift 3

    Position Overview

    Position Objective: Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train Creelers who will play an important role in the manufacturing and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem-solving.

    Essential Duties:

    • Scan in system and pull job assignment duties from the creeler assignment Kiosk.

    • Pull empty cones and/or tubes

    • Ensure proper placement of yarn packages on the holders and that the yarn packages match the yarn lot number being used for that machine

    • Splice the end of the new yarn package into the tail of the package that is currently running

    • Neatly organize and place all cones, tubes, and cardboard in a location that can be easily picked up by the lift truck driver

    • Aspirate/Strip dirty yarn off cones and use tube spreader on crushed cones when possible

    • Notify Creel Lead of any non-conforming yarn

    • Keep the area surrounding assigned machines clean

    • Assist the LTO by staging yarn dollies and moving yarn into creels

    • Help run knots at the end of a creel change when requested by Creel Lead or Supervisor

    Work Shift

    8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to out-punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
