• Sr. Materials Scientist (Polymers)

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Materials Scientist with a key focus in polymer materials to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.

    Responsibilities include:

    Lead research and development of high-performance polymer materials for use in microchip fabrication and packaging.

     

    Manages research projects, including defining and tracking project goals and milestones and supervising of the work of research team members.

     

    Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems.

     

    Researches and coordinates the procurement of various equipment and sub-systems.

     

    Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    0-5 years of work experience

     

    Experience in polymer materials development, preferably within the semiconductor or electronics industry.

     

    Experience with cleanroom protocols and semiconductor fabrication environment

    PHD from a high-ranked university or research group null
