• Senior Environmental Claims Adjuster

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Senior Environmental Claims Adjuster to join a top Insurance company in the Des Moines area. The Senior Environmental Claims Adjuster will be spending 80% of their time on asbestos claims. This will include intaking the claim from service company or attorney and working the claim all the way through it's life cycle. 20% of this role will be handling fuel claims from heating oil delivery incidents all the way to people's homes. 100% of these claims will be casualty claims that involved working claim from conception all the way through litigations, tracking policies and arriving at coverage solutions. This person will need to be very familiar and confident making decisions on claims and presenting to leadership through reporting and findings. 99% of this role will be independent so this person will need to come into the role with experience and confidence on environmental claims handling all toxic torts (PFAs, Stone slab, carbon monoxide, etc.). The annual salary for this role will be between $90,000 - $127,000 a year.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    7+ years of claims adjusting experience

     

    - Litigation background

     

    - 3+ years of Environmental specialty claims experience (NEED strong background)

     

    - Know how to read a CGL policy

     

    - Excellent time management

     

    - Strong technical ability and able to work in digital environment

     

    - Current active adjusters license in state they live in

     

    Ability to get SC license quickly - AIC, CPCU, SCLA designations

     

    - Bachelor's degree (if not, significant amount of experience)

    Experience w/ Guidewire Claims System null
