Job Description

A customer is looking for a vulnerability analyst to complete the following responsibilities: Data Collection & Aggregation

Pull vulnerability data from various tools and sources (e.g., scanners, cloud platforms, internal databases).

Aggregate and normalize the data to create a unified view of exposures, including CVEs, cloud misconfigurations, and software flaws.

Data Parsing & Analysis

Parse raw data to identify key details such as severity, affected assets, and remediation status.

Apply logic to determine the current state of vulnerabilities (e.g., open, in progress, resolved).

Remediation Coordination

Identify and assign remediation owners for each vulnerability.

Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and security teams to gather updates and ensure timely remediation.

Workflow Management

Track the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities from detection to resolution.

Ensure data accuracy and completeness, including remediation status and findings.

Reporting & Communication

Create and deliver regular reports and dashboards showing vulnerability status, trends, and risk levels.

Use risk logic to categorize vulnerabilities (e.g., red = high risk, green = resolved).

Communicate findings and progress to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Risk Assessment

Apply logic to assess the overall risk posture based on vulnerability data.

Highlight critical issues and prioritize remediation efforts.

Tool & Database Interaction

Work with internal databases that track vulnerability exposures.

Ensure data integrity and update records as needed.

Skills and Requirements

5-7+ years experience within data analysis, data parsing,

- visualization skills and reporting with PowerBI or equivalent

- some accumen around tech and comp science, how a SaaS company works and understand technology

- Fedramp experience and creating reports for US government clients

- experience working in the security vulnerability space

- Excellent experience with MS Excel

- Excellent communication skills, proactive communication, go-getter mentality

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - skills to utilize scanning tools like Defender, Crowdstrike, or equivalent

- experience working with Nucleus

- GRC platform experience like servicenow

- Experience scripting with powershell or python null
