    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Director of Distribution on behalf of one of the world's leading casual dining restaurant companies with over 1600 global restaurants. The Senior Director of Distribution & Planning is a strategic and operational leader responsible for ensuring product availability across our restaurant system through world-class distribution execution, demand forecasting, and supply planning. This role serves as the key decision-maker for all distribution-related matters and acts as a coach and connector across internal teams and external partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Distribution Leadership: Own the relationship and performance of third-party distributors, ensuring high service levels, fill rates, and cost efficiency across the network.

    • Inventory & Supply Planning: Lead the development of data-driven inventory targets and supply plans that align with forecasted demand and promotional activity.

    • Demand Forecasting: Oversee the creation and refinement of demand forecasts at the ingredient and category level, enabling proactive supply chain decisions.

    • LTO & Program Integration: Partner cross-functionally to seamlessly roll in new menu items, LTOs, and business programs with minimal disruption to operations.

    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through scenario planning, distributor collaboration, and supplier readiness assessments.

    • Team Development: Build and coach a high-performing team that thrives on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

     

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Culinary, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment on business priorities and execution

    Skills and Requirements

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, with a focus on distribution, planning, or logistics—preferably in the restaurant, foodservice, or CPG industry.

    • Experience with forecasting tools and ERP systems preferred to manage business (inventory at supplier and distributor level, reporting, forecasting, etc.)

    • Understands and demonstrates best industry standards in regards to Distribution and continues to provide value and ideas for upcoming innovation

    • Proven leadership in managing third-party distribution networks and driving measurable improvements in service and cost.

    • Excellent communicator and collaborator with a coaching mindset and a bias for action.

     

    Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through change in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

     

    • Ability and openness to travel once per month (Likely only 4-6 times per year) • Understanding of food safety

    • Has currently or previously worked at a food distribution center null
