Job Description
The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in problem solving for the plant. Starting their day at 6:15 AM with a carrier meeting to discuss the previous night's events and plan the day ahead. This role involves managing the fast response process for the entire plant, tracking SPQRC (safety, productivity, quality, responsiveness, and cost), and addressing quality and scrap issues, such as leading initiatives to discover the causes of broken tools on the crank line. Responsibilities include attending staff meetings on Mondays, participating in throughput improvement meetings, conducting PFEMA process cross-functional reviews, tracking sediment within the facility, and attending weekly basket weave meetings as part of the lean management system. The role also involves addressing issues on the machine line, focusing on data from QDAS, and tracking and eliminating scrap.

Skills and Requirements
3-5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred, with a focus on assembly or machining)
Proficiency in any statistical process control SPC (ex. QDAS or Minitab for analyzing capability data from gauging systems)
Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and formulas
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in the 5-phase approach
Knowledge of risk reduction through PFEMA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) - experience with Kaizen and continuous improvement is highly desirable
Shift time 6 AM-3:30 PM (9 hour shift - 45 hours per week) Bachelor's in Engineering
Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus null
