Job Description

AE Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector, supporting operations in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Responsibilities include:

+ Use various measuring devices and testing equipment

+ Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems

+ Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawings or inspection instructions and checklists.

+ Provide feedback in a professional manner to operators pertaining to inspection results

+ Use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed machined and assembled products such as precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.

+ Use various measuring devices and testing equipment.

+ Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.

+ Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, CMM/Romer Arm, customer, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

+ May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

+ Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

+ Receiving Inspection of raw material, Special Processes and vendor supplied detail parts and mechanical assemblies

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Typically a High school diploma and 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

+ In depth understanding of inspection tools

+ In depth analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret data

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment

+ Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods

+ Experience inspecting Aircraft mechanical parts

+ Proficient with MS Office Suite

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

+ Familiarity with quality control standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar

+ Experience with statistical process control, lean manufacturing, or six sigma methodologies

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $52955 - $84728

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
