At BAE Systems Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS), we're dedicated to safeguarding those who serve our country. As a Program Quality Engineer in our Tactical Air (TACAIR) Product Line, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance for our products.
Driving Excellence in Quality and Compliance
As a critical player in our TACAIR Program Quality Team, you'll be responsible for:
+ Supporting the production and field return repair process, including preliminary material review and material review board participation
+ Providing Quality support for non-recurring engineering efforts, including hardware redesign initiatives driven by Diminishing Manufacturing Supply, repair/rework of Customer and Government Furnished Equipment, and test stand/test software quality support
+ Collaborating with customers and the Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) for audits, program inquiries, and product acceptance, ensuring meticulous attention to detail for hardware and documentation records
Quality Leadership and Continuous Improvement
+ Develop, implement, and maintain rigorous quality evaluation and control systems and protocols to ensure compliant products
+ Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment to guarantee precision and accuracy
+ Conduct quality assurance tests and utilize quality tools, including lean and six-sigma methodologies, to drive continuous improvement and optimize processes

Work Environment:
+ This role requires full-time on-site work at a BAE Systems facility, with 100% of work conducted on location.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Skills and Education
+ Bachelor s Degree and 2-4 years of experience OR 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree
+ Quality Assurance Engineering experience
+ Ability to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print and specification
+ Communication in a clear, concise and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government
+ Ability to learn BAE Systems software and data management programs
+ Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplined team
+ Ability to work independently with little to no oversight
+ Producing high quality work in a face paced, dynamic work environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Skills and Education
+ Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline
+ Active secret clearance
+ Production Hardware and Software processing
+ Program process definition and documentation
+ Rework and Repair processing
+ First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 experience
+ Green Belt/ Black Belt certification
+ Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment
+ AS9145- Advanced Product Quality Program exposure
+ Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
+ Customer Requirements and flow down into program execution and tasking
+ Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ "sell off"
+ Preparation of documentation packages for customer review
+ Hardware Inspection Criteria
+ Quality Management Systems (AS9100)
+ Quality Auditing
+ Configuration Control and Hardware Configuration Reporting
+ Participation Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
