    We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for: _Machine Operation:_

     

    * Set up and operate various types of machinery, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines\.

    * Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency\. _Maintenance:_

    * Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment\.

    * Report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors\. _Safety:_

    * Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment\.

    * Use personal protective equipment \(PPE\) as required\. _Documentation:_

    * Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities\.

    * Complete any paperwork or digital entries related to job tasks\. _Collaboration:_

    * Work closely with other machinists, engineers, and production staff to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that arise\.

    * Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed\.

    * Willingness and initiative to continue learning different machines and machining methods\.

    * Ability to pass a background and drug test\.

    * Ability to abide by Environmental Health & Safety standards, which include extremely limited cell phone use during work hours \(excluding lunch and breaks\)\.

    Qualifications

    _Qualifications_** **_Qualifications_

     

    * Basic understanding of machining tools and equipment\.

    * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings\.

    * Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges\.

    * Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry\.

    * Familiarity with computer\-aided design \(CAD\) and computer\-aided manufacturing \(CAM\) software can be beneficial\.

    * The ability to switch priorities when needed\.

    _Education:_

    * High school diploma or equivalent

    * Completion of a machinist training program or apprenticeship is preferred

    _Experience:_

    * Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is a plus but not always required for entry\-level positions\.

    * Hands on experience through internships or vocational training programs\.

    * Automobile mechanical experience is a plus\. _Physical Requirements:_

    * Ability to stand for long periods\.

    * Good manual dexterity and hand\-eye coordination\.

    * Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed, up to 70 lbs\.
