AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.

The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.

The role you'll contribute:

The Physician Relations Specialist is responsible for increasing physician engagement and for growing market share of AdventHealth Mid-America. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with physicians and their practices; serving as a liaison between physicians and administrators and leaders to resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise; promoting and marketing AdventHealth services; and positively influencing referral patterns. They will partner with the director and the growth council leadership team to serve as a catalyst for driving service line growth by helping execute referral growth strategies. The Physician Relations Specialist is expected to attend assigned medical staff department and committee meetings, and to follow-up on action items as necessary in a timely manner. In addition, the Physician Relations Specialist will assist in planning assigned professional and social events for physicians and their families. The Physician Relations Specialist must be a proficient computer user and be able to accurately utilize a web-based physician relations management tool.

Develops and executes strategic business development and growth strategies, tracking results and demonstrating positive ROI.

Builds and maintains relationships with physicians to ensure continued and new referrals.

Acts as a trusted partner in executing volume-driving business development growth strategies.

Maintains accurate knowledge of current trends in the healthcare market and physician arena.

Completes event reports, including ROI for each event, and provides quarterly reports to administration.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

+ 6 years of work experience required

+ Bachelors degree preferred

+ Sales experience preferred
