    Job Description

    Entry level exposure to Mechanical & Electrical Repair. Directly reports to the shift maintenance lead. Three major portions of this job are categorized in completing initial training requirements, plant security & continuity and plant services sections. Learn troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing skills by assisting MRER maintenance personnel in the repair of production equipment and plant facilities. Perform basic plumbing, sheet metal fabrication and mechanical/electrical tasks such as hanging conduit, machine lubrication, preventative maintenance tasks etc.

     

    Plant Services Specifics

     

    Perform plant services tasks such as; pick-up and delivery by truck and fork truck of maintenance materials and equipment throughout the operation. Perform grounds related activities such as snow shoveling, sanding, and grass cutting. Maintain buildings through such activities as painting, general carpentry, general cleaning, and use of specialized cleaning equipment. Clean restrooms and perform trash pick-up activities. Accomplish routine maintenance of production equipment such as oiling, lubrication, and materials removal. Accomplish preventative maintenance tasks associated with equipment.

     

    Security & Continuity Specifics

     

    Perform all security related tasks including regular security patrols of plants and grounds as required by procedures and insurance requirements. Observation for potential hazardous or unsafe conditions and taking necessary actions to minimize risk to personnel and property. Monitor plant equipment such as boilers and compressors. Perform periodic inspections of Waste Water Treatment Plant and comply with EHS policies. *NOTES Plant assignment could change according to workload. Position could require working some holidays, shutdowns, and OT. Position may require temporary shift changes.

    • Mechanical Aptitude

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Self-Starter

    • Good computer skills, Microsoft OS

    • Exceptional Attention to Detail

    • Commitment to team goals

    • High peer and production area credibility

    • Demonstrated follow through on projects and tasks assigned.

    • Pay starting at $30.60/hr.

    • 5th Shift Opportunity, 2:30pm-10:30pm, 7 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off.

    Desirable Qualifications

    • Broad range of GE equipment repair experience • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills • Fork Truck License • Mechanical & Electrical Repair experience

     

    In this role, you will operate in accordance with rigorous quality and safety practices and procedures. You will be assigned a training plan, which will outline which skill(s) you will initially learn.

     

    The pay for this position is 30.60/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 30th, 2025.
