    Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

     

    Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking a highly skilled and creative **Senior User Interface Designer** to lead the design and implementation of modern, user-friendly, and standardized interfaces across our suite of mobile applications and websites. This multi-faceted role will include establishing and maintaining a cohesive design system that enhances usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across the organization.

    Responsibilities

    + Design intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces for mobile and web applications.

    + Collaboratively grow, mature, and maintain the centralized UI design system and component library to ensure consistency across all products.

    + Collaborate with UX designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions.

    + Define and enforce UI standards, best practices, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG AA, Section 508 compliance).

    + Conduct design reviews and provide guidance to ensure adherence to established UI principles.

    + Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the user-facing designs.

    + Create mockups and high-fidelity visual designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.

    + Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to a culture of design excellence throughout the organization.

    + Become an active member of the organization’s UI/UX Community of Practice.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred in graphic design, Human-Computer Interaction, Web Design.

    + 5+ years of experience in UI design for mobile and web applications.

    + Present a strong portfolio showcasing modern, responsive, and accessible UI designs.

    + Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.

    + Experience designing Mobile and Progressive Web Applications.

    + Background check with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Ability to iterate designs and solutions quickly, efficiently, and intelligently.

    + Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles.

    + Experience in creating and managing design systems and style guides.

    + Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills.

    + Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting

    + Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment

    + Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals

    + Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.

    + Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

    + Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.

    + Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
