Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of HII is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team at our Alexandria, VA location.

The ideal candidate will work as journeyman technician in multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project designs and modifications. Will use experience as electrician to provide design and maintenance input of facility electrical equipment, develop bill of materials and assist in training.

You will work closely with engineering staff and customers as the lead technician to design and develop challenging facility electrical equipment in support of unique US national security objectives.

This role is part of a pending contract proposal. We are actively interviewing to identify qualified candidates in anticipation of a successful award.

Essential Job Responsibilities

You will work closely with engineering staff and customers as the lead technician to design and develop challenging facility electrical equipment in support of unique US national security objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience

+ Licensed Journeyman Electrician certification or 10 years of experience if no license

+ Experience with lead acid and lithium ion batteries

+ Experience in commerical installations and service

+ An active TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Requirements

+ Experience working well within multidisciplinary teams

+ Demonstrated experience with residential electrical systems

+ Experience with worldwide electrical installations and maintenance

+ Experience implementing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition controls and Human Machine Interface systems

Physical Requirements

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
