**Are you ready to shape the future of Minnesota’s public workforce?** The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a visionary leader with specialized expertise to drive workforce and succession planning across the agency—and beyond.
In this role, you will lead the coordination and administration of the workforce and succession planning program in alignment with DHS talent management and retention objectives.
This position will lead and develop continuous improvement of workforce analytics and implement strategies that are data driven, creative and innovative. The incumbent will serve as DHS’s technical authority in the areas of workforce planning and succession planning. The position has agency-wide focus and impact with potential for outcomes to be translatable across the statewide enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of professional workforce planning experience that demonstrate the following:
+ Designing and implementing workforce solutions for a large organization (1000+ employees)
+ Leading formal or informal continuous improvement projects
+ Making program recommendations based on evaluation of information and data
+ Developing curriculum and providing training to adult learners
Preferred Qualifications
+ Human Resource experience working in a government setting.
+ Advanced human relations, communication, and presentation skills; experience communicating clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; responding openly to requests and concerns.
+ An operational mindset - thinking of ways to elevate and scale processes that will create efficiency while also improving our level of service for internal and external partners.
+ Project management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
+ Use of thoughtful and creative approaches for employee retention and career growth opportunities; development and/or use of employee engagement strategies.
+ Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
