Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a passion for keeping systems and facilities operating at their best? At Meriter Hospital, we’re seeking a skilled Mechanic III to ensure that our equipment, systems, and buildings are maintained to the highest standards—providing a safe, reliable, and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
What You'll Do:
As a Mechanic III, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining our hospital’s physical infrastructure. Your responsibilities may include:
+ Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
+ Troubleshooting and repairing or replacing a wide range of equipment
+ Supporting regulatory compliance by maintaining facilities to meet healthcare of business occupancy standards.
+ Specializing in an area based on your experience and facility needs (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance).
+ Responding to work orders and emergencies to ensure a safe and comfortable environment at all times.
What We're Looking For:
+ Proven experience in facilities maintenance or as a mechanical technician—preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.
+ Technical knowledge in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or general building systems.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ A commitment to safety, quality, and excellent customer service.
+ Flexibility to respond to urgent facility needs or rotating on-call duties.

Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Prior experience as a Mechanic 2, or maintenance-related service work
Preferred Qualifications:
+ High school graduate with two years' formal education in a mechanical field.
+ 1-3 years health care related experience
