Job Overview
Fairview is looking for a Patient Escort to join our team in Minneapolis, MN.
Job Summary:
The Patient Escort works directly with the Manager & Director of Patient Transport and is responsible for assisting in transfer and transport of patients, promoting a therapeutic environment so that goals and objectives of treatment are achieved. The Patient Escort will assist as needed with the physical move, lift, transfer and transport patients on the hospital premises in a timely, efficient, customer service-oriented manner.
Position Details:
0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period)
evening shift
every weekend rotation
Schedule:
Every Wednesday, 2p-10:30p
Every Thursday, 2p-10:30p
Every Saturday, 11a-7:30p
Job Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for safe physical transfer and transport of patient on hospital premises.
+ Communicates appropriate information with others according to established procedures so that day-to-day operations are effectively conducted.
+ Exhibits excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, community and referral sources.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of safety related work behaviors to ensure safe job performance and the maintenance of a safe work environment.
+ Utilize provided technology to accurately record Transport data.
+ Continuously improve interpersonal skills and relationships.
+ Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks.
Required Qualifications
+ Must be able to maintain certification of Basic Life Support as necessary
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
