    _Job Summary_

    _The Support Services Specialist maintains procedural standards for a multitude of processes in both host systems while ensuring Internal Audit Guidelines are being met, guided by Accounts Receivable Leadership and the objectives of the SSC. The position serves as a support liaison between internal users, vendors, and the Information Systems/Technology department and investigates and identifies the root cause of moderately complex user, application, and hardware issues. This position's goals are met through professional communication, confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines._ **_The Support Service Specialist position is on-site at the Fort Smith, Arkansas, Shared Services Center facility._**

    _Essential Functions_

    + _Completes accurate and timely reconciliation of various SSC and vendor processes through accounts receivable analysis._

    + _Completes tasks related to Medhost support, such as: Net Down, Reclass, Log Reconciliation, etc._

    + _Uses working knowledge of insurance payors, including: understanding of deductibles, coinsurance, contractuals and denials and correctness of adjustment transactions in both host systems._

    + _Assists with tasks outside of normal scope by adapting and prioritizing workflow._

    + _Remains compliant with SSC, CHS and compliance policies and procedures._

    + _Performs other duties as assigned._

    + _Complies with all policies and standards._

    _Qualifications_

    + _H.S. Diploma or GED High School Degree or Equivalent required_

    + _Associate Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or Finance preferred_

    + _1-3 years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle or business office required_

    + _2-4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or business office preferred_

    _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_

    + _Knowledge of Word Processing and Database software_

    + _Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar applications_

    + _Excellent verbal and written communication skills._

    + _Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines._

    + _Strong attention to detail._
