    Responsibilities:

    + Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and embedded systems.

    + Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to ensure cohesive project development.

    + Ensure that designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.

    + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the electrical engineering team.

    + Review and approve electrical designs, schematics, and specifications to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues that arise during development and testing.

    + Develop innovative solutions to technical challenges and ensure their effective implementation.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

    + Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

    + Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

    + Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools

    + Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

    + Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

    + The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis

    + Experience with MIL-STD-810 for environmental testing, MIL-STD-461 for electromagnetic interference (EMI), MIL-STD-1275 for ground vehicle power, or MIL-STD-704 for aircraft power.

    + Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis

    + Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)

    + Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes

    + Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)

    + Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture

    + Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools

    Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
