    Job Description Summary: The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care (HACCC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our patients and care team. As a CNA, you’ll provide direct patient care and play a vital role in creating a supportive, healing environment for individuals and families navigating their cancer journey.

    Job Description:

    Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

     

    Shift: Days (M-F schedule)

    What You'll Do:

    + Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.

    + Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.

    + Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

    + Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

    What We're Looking For:

    + Active CNA certification in the State of Maine.

    + Prior experience in oncology or an acute care setting preferred but not required.

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    + Compassion, patience, and commitment to excellence patient care.

    + Basic Life Support Provider preferred.
